ABOUT WIEM
At the wIEm Foundation, we engage in activities aimed at developing broadly understood educational innovations. We promote and support:
- education based on dialogue of the people participating in it;
- modern education in a school with thin walls that uses new technologies wisely;
- inclusive education that helps overcome barriers - generational, disability, lack of skills;
- teaching that integrates content, crossing the boundaries of various fields and traditional school subjects;
- education combined with active citizenship, including good digital citizenship.

ANNA TURULA
Professor and head of the Department of Digital Language Education at the Institute of English Studies of the Pedagogical University of KEN in Krakow. An academic teacher with over 20 years of experience, an enthusiast and promoter of innovative solutions in teaching, also using new technologies. Author of several dozen distance and hybrid courses; co-author of the English Studies Online study programs (University of Linguistics, Częstochowa) and Digital English Teacher (Pedagogical University, Kraków). Coordinator of training for teachers of vocational subjects as part of the Małopolska Educational Cloud project. In 2017-2018, a trainer in the field of innovative academic teaching at the University of Economics in Krakow and the AGH University of Science and Technology. Since 2013 organizes PL-CALL - a Polish conference on computer-assisted language teaching, of which she is the originator.
PROJECTS CURRENTLY IMPLEMENTED
EDUCATION ON A WAVE
This is an offer of sailing courses combined with training in other areas: project work; SCRUM methodology; language courses; modern leadership and group building; effective obtaining grants.
EXTERNAL EVALUATION OF THE FRAMES PROJECT
Because we know how to organize a virtual exchange, how to transfer this knowledge to others, how important institutional support and accreditation are and how to obtain them, how to evaluate well and what constructive feedback is.
SEACHERS
The name of the project was created from a combination of the English words sea (=sea) and teachers (=teachers), because the project concerns broadly understood sailing education; education offered by experienced teachers :)
FROM A TO Z, OR ENGLISH FOR SAILORS
Tasks that teach: exercises are arranged in sequences, built on each other, and are interactive; learning plans are at the beginning of each module: to make it easier to start learning, authentic materials: to be as close to real life as possible; in the variety of stimuli: the course includes text, videos, games, audio materials and photos - because multi-track memory is more effective; knowledge recycling and repetition: because repetition is the mother of knowledge; in incidental grammar learning: because the most important thing is to communicate effectively, correctness comes with time.
COOL SCHOOL
The aim of the project is to create an informal educational proposal for school-age children. This proposal - a cool school - is to be based on the principles of learning through experience, in direct interaction with an adult who is an expert in his field.

E-EDUCATION AT THE KRAKOW UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY
Support for e-education at the Krakow University of Technology in the form of workshops preparing for the creation of MOOC courses - online, open access, intended for a mass audience.
INNOVATIONS IN EDUCATION OF FUTURE SAILORS
Popularization of hybrid education in sailing courses; installation and launch of the MoodleSYC platform; development of the Yacht Sailor course, which complements classes conducted using traditional methods.
MULTIMEDIA TRAINING FOR UEK HUB 2.0
During this training, we focused on providing the ability to design an innovative teaching process using creative thinking techniques in teaching work with an emphasis on interculturality and communication with students in international environments.
TIK-TAK-TOK MATURA
Workshops for high school graduates on the wise use of new technologies in preparation for exams.
AHOY!
Systemic solutions in the field of training sailing instructors to work with visually impaired people and sailing training for people with visual impairments and adapting the sailing station for the needs of such training.

International scientific and pedagogical internship for teachers of Ukrainian general secondary schools: "Basic principles of organizing the general and secondary education system in Europe: organization of the educational process, new and innovative educational technologies."
EXPANSION AND UPDATING OF THE MOODLE PLATFORM AT THE KRAKOW UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY
IT and methodological audit of the currently used Moodle PK platform, analysis of the needs of PK academic teachers, proposals for changes and substantive support at the stage of implementing changes.
AHOY! CDN
In the original design of ahoy! We have developed systemic solutions for educating sailing instructors to work with visually impaired people, sailing training for people with visual impairments and adapting the sailing station for the needs of such training. Now AHOJ solutions! We tested it in practice by organizing a sailing picnic for people with visual impairments.
